Chandigarh, March 26

The Department of Telemedicine, Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education & Research (PGIMER), Chandigarh, will start a teleconsultation service for the registered outdoor patients at the hospital.

The teleconsultations will be provided by several departments — internal medicine, paediatrics, obstetrics and gynaecology, otolaryngology (ent), neurology and hepatology.

The departments concerned have been assigned two consultants for offering teleconsultation on working days from 10 am to 1 pm. Patients at the PGI will have to register themselves for consultations from 9 am to 10 am using helpline. These calls will be taken up at the Department of Telemedicine, ost Graduate Institute of Medical Education & Research.

The registered patients will receive call from the consultant concerned after 10 am.
