The Mohali Municipal Corporation officials today promised that the damaged sewer in Phase 7 would be repaired by September 25.
Municipal Commissioner T Benith said the sewer line heading from Chawla lights to Phase 7-8 had been damaged due to a pipeline leakage and the MC’s engineering wing team was working on unblocking the line in the area to fix the issue.
The dug-up area was also part of the repair work that was underway, he said, adding that to prevent the site from becoming a breeding ground for mosquitoes, the corporation had carried out fogging, containing Cyphenothrin 5 per cent EC.
He said the MC’s sanitation wing teams were regularly monitoring dengue larvae by going from door to door in the city and the violators were being served challans.
