The British Deputy High Commission, Chandigarh, in association with Alliance Francaise, Chandigarh, organised a special screening of the award-winning National Theatre play “Dear England” by James Graham today. The event was held at Alliance Francaise, Sector 36.

The chief guests on the occasion were Caroline Rowett, British Deputy High Commissioner, Chandigarh, and Ophelie Belin, Director, Alliance Francaise, Chandigarh.

The screening attracted a diverse audience, including football players, coaches and office-bearers of the Chandigarh Football Association (CFA), educationists and students.

“Dear England” is a fictionalised account of the struggles and successes of England’s football teams, based on extensive research and interviews. The play offers a captivating and insightful look into the world of football in England.
