Players Table Tennis Club registered a 3-2 win over DAV Club (3-2) to win the girls’ youth title in the ongoing Gurukul Global 34th Chandigarh State Table Tennis Championship-2021 for Sardar Gurmeet Singh Grewal Memorial Trophy.

In the opening match, Mansi lost to Pelf (9-11, 8-11, 8-11). However, the scores were levelled as Deevanshi defeated Kirti (11-8, 11-7, 11-8). Parneet ousted Vasundhara (11-6, 7-11, 11-8, 8-11, 11-9) to claim the lead for Players Table Tennis Club. However, in the next match, Deevanshi lost to Pelf (8-11, 9-11, 9-11). In the final, Mansi outplayed Kirti (11-7, 8-11, 11-7, 11-7). Earlier in the semi-finals, DAV Club defeated St Soldier’s Club 3-1 and Players Club outplayed TT Smashers 3-0.

In the boys’ youth final, Warriors TT Academy defeated TT Smashers 3-1. Jasjot Singh won the first match for the side by defeating Pritish (5-11, 8-11, 11-7, 11-7, 11-9). In the next match, Jaskanwal faced (4-11, 7-11, 11-8, 18-16, 8-11) defeat against Vishal. In last two matches, Harkeerat defeated Vadya (11-7, 13-11, 11-9) and Jasjot Singh overpowered Vishal (9-11, 11-5, 11-7, 11-5) to claim the title. In semis, Warriors Club defeated St Soldier’s Club 3-1 and TT Smashers beat Game Changers Club 3-0.
