Police step in after attack on councillor’s property

DCP Himadri Kaushik visited Indira Colony today, engaging with locals to understand their concerns and issued orders for strict action against those involved in the recnt attack on the councillor’s property.
During the visit, residents highlighted the growing issue of drug trafficking and disturbances caused by anti-social elements in Indira Colony, Rajeev Colony and Budhanpur. In response, DCP Kaushik took immediate action by increasing foot patrols in the area, as well as directing riders and ERV (Emergency Response Vehicle) drivers to conduct regular patrols in the area. Additionally, female police officers will be deployed area to ensure safety of women and children.
DCP Kaushik also instructed the station officers concerned to be present in the ward for at least two hours every day, ensuring proper law and order.
To improve communication and coordination with the public, the DCP decided to create a WhatsApp group where residents can share suspicious activities and information directly with the police.
The DCP assured that efforts are underway to arrest the remaining suspects.
