A speeding Porsche collided with two scooters near a petrol pump in Sector 4 this evening, resulting in the death of a man. Two women, who were riding the other two-wheeler, were injured in the accident.

According to the police, the luxury car collided head-on with the two-wheelers. The man died on the spot, while the two women suffered severe injuries. The car was being driven at a high speed and one of the scooters was dragged to some distance before the vehicle crashed into an electricity pole, said the police.

A case has been registered at the Sector 3 police station. The police have impounded the car and launched an investigation to determine the exact cause of the crash.

Youth killed in accident

A 19-year-old youth died after his motorcycle was hit by a car in Sector 52. Mohammad Rashi reported that the victim, Mohammad Mejimil’s bike was hit by a car driven by Jasanpreet Sharma on March 9. The victim sustained injuries and was admitted to the Government Medical College and Hospital, Sector 32, where he succumbed to injuries during treatment. The police have registered a case at the Sector 36 police station.
