Murmu is expected to be the special guest at Raj Bhavan and is likely to arrive in the city on March 10. A day later, she is scheduled to attend an event at a university in Bathinda. Preparations for her stay at Raj Bhavan are already underway.

Phulkari jackets for pupils

The PU has introduced a dress code for the March 12 convocation, replacing traditional gowns. All students will wear traditional 'Punjabi bagh phulkari' jackets along with specific attire. Girls can opt for a white shirt with beige pants in western wear or a white, off-white or beige salwar suit, churidar suit, or saree in traditional wear. Boys can wear a white shirt with beige pants in western wear or an off-white, white or beige kurta pyjama in traditional wear.
