Prioritise healthcare services for women in family way, says Patiala DC

In a significant step towards enhancing maternal and child healthcare, the district Health Department organised a training session focused on the integration of pregnancy care services at Aam Aadmi Clinics.

Senior Medical Officers from various blocks and medical officers from Aam Aadmi Clinics across the district participated in the session.

Deputy Commissioner Preeti Yadav, who was the chief guest at the event, emphasised the need to prioritise healthcare services for pregnant women and children at Aam Aadmi Clinics. She said the government’s primary objective was to reduce maternal mortality and improve the overall health outcomes for mothers and infants. “To achieve this, clinics must deliver high-quality antenatal care services that ensure safe pregnancies and healthy births,” she said.

District Family Welfare Officer Balkar Singh informed that regular check-up of pregnant women would start at Aam Aadmi Clinics on June 23. He outlined key causes of maternal deaths, including delayed or complicated deliveries and failure to reach higher medical facilities in time.
