Professor TD Yadav, from the Department of GI Surgery, HPB and Liver Transplant, PGI, has been elected president of the Indian Association of Surgical Gastroenterology (IASG) during the 34th Annual Conference held from October 3 to 6 in Patna, Bihar.

The association, with over 1,500 life members, is one of the most prestigious associations in the field of surgical gastroenterology. Professor Yadav’s election to this position is a testament to his outstanding contributions to the field and his leadership within the academic community. He has been actively involved in all academic activities of the association throughout the year. He has served two terms as executive member.

Professor Yadav played a pivotal role in initiating the liver transplant programme at the PGI, marking a significant milestone in the institute’s healthcare services.
