The chairperson of the Sirhind Market Committee, Gurwinder Singh Dhillon, today inspected the ongoing cleaning work of the historical Bhagrana village being initiated at the cost of Rs10 lakh.

Dhillon said that the Punjab government had announced a grant of Rs 10 lakh for the cleaning of the village pond, of which Rs 7 lakh have been deposited in the panchayat’s account and the work has started. He expressed his satisfaction with the work and said that more grants will be given for the development of the village.

The chairpoerson further added that earlier Rs 53 lakh has been sanctioned for the construction of the grain market at the village and the panchayat has been asked to complete the soil pouring work soon so that the construction work can be started soon.
