Social and religious organisations carried out adrive in the Kurali main market and cautioned migrant labourers to adhere to

the law in the area after raking up the Hoshiarpur murder incident.

A five year old child was allegedly sodomised and murdered by a migrant labour in the area.

The protesters were also seen asking migrant shopkeepers to remove encroachments outside their shops.

They also blocked the main road with flex banners of the victim in hand. Emergency vehicles were given the passage.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
