Deputy Commissioner (DC)–cum-Chairman of the District Road Safety Committee, Nishant Kumar Yadav, has directed the departments concerned to prune trees obstructing the visibility of traffic signals during a review meeting held here today.

The Chairman stressed the critical importance of strict compliance with road safety norms and instructed departments to set clear timelines for the replacement and installation of road signages in line with prescribed standards.

During the deliberations, the Sub-Divisional Magistrate (Central) was tasked with removing encroachments along the road passing through Khuda Lahora and Khuda Jassu to ensure smooth traffic flow.

In addition, the Chief Engineer was directed to submit a certificate confirming that all bus queue shelters in the city are disabled-friendly, thereby ensuring accessibility and convenience for commuters, particularly persons with disabilities.
