Rahul Kumar, Vice President of Panjab University Students’ Council, on Wednesday, alleged certain discrepancies in Panjab University hostel fee. Rahul said, “There is irregularity within the submission of hostel fees as since the provision of online hostel fees has been approved students have to shell out extra money out of their pockets as even though a student is admitted in the hostel in between the ongoing semester.”

He added, “If a student is admitted in the hostel in the month of November, a student has to pay the fee for whole semester. It is unjustified as the students are helpless and are shelling out extra money without any extra benefits. A complete scam is going on with the university hostel fees.” Rahul demanded that the hostel rules should be amended back and students shall pay fees on the monthly basis.
