The Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, on Tuesday, launched ‘Aap Di Sarkar, Aap De Dwaar’ scheme which stipulates holding of citizen-centric services camps at village/mohalla level to benefit people.

Addressing the gathering, the chief minister said people would no longer, have to rush to government offices for their routine administrative works. Rather, the government officers would come at their doorstep and offer services.

The state government had in December 2023 started a flagship scheme regarding doorstep delivery of 43 important services to citizens. People can call 1076 number, give appointment as per their convenience for an official visit and avail service.

The chief minister said more than 11,600 camps would be organized across the state this month covering rural and urban areas adding that four camps would be organised in every tehsil daily.

The SDM, Tehsildar, District Social Security Officer, District Food Supply Officer, Station House Officer, District Welfare Officer, Kanugo, Patwari, SDO, Xen and others would be available to accept applications and deliver services.

44 major services which the public needs most like residence certificate, caste certificate, income certificate, birth/death certificate, labour registration, pension, rural area certificate and others can be applied and delivered in camps. The chief minister said that other than that, people would be able to register their complaints which would be redressed on the spot only.
