Punjab Governor Gulab Chand Kataria will lead a “Jan yatra against drugs” on March 27 from Shri Ram Bhawan, Kharar, at 9 am. This yatra will follow the route of Arya College Road, Bansawali Chungi, National Highway (Kharar-Chandigarh Road), Qila Complex, Christian School, Gill Hospital Road, Landra Road, Bhuru Chowk, Main Bazaar Kharar, Pakka Darwaja, Arya College Road and will culminate at Shri Ram Bhawan followed by a “Nagrik Abhinandan” in the honour of Governor.

Sub-Divisional Magistrate Gurmander Singh said Governor would arrive at Shri Ram Bhawan at 8.30 am. After doing Parikarma (religious round) of Maharaja Ajj Sarovar, he would perform kar sewa for the construction of the grand temple of Lord Rama in the middle of sarovar.

The programme has been chalked out by Shri Ram Mandir Ajj Sarovar Vikas Samiti to propagate the Punjab Government’s message, “Yudh Nashian Virudh”, with the help of students and general public.
