A Punjabi film actress has lodged a complaint with the Sohana police against unknown persons for defaming her by making a fake immoral video and uploading it on porn websites and other social media platform.

DSP City-2 Deep Kamal said: “A case was registered against unknown persons under the IT Act yesterday. We have begun investigations into the case”.

On the complaint of actress Mandy Takhar, the Sohana police have registered a case under Sections 67(A), 67 and 66(E) of the Technology Act – 2000 and Sections 509 and 354 of the Indian Penal Code – 1860.

On August 27, a fake video in which her face was morphed as a porn star was uploaded on websites by unknown persons. The video went viral through a social messaging site.

Actress Mandy Takhar has featured in Punjabi films such as “Rabb Da Radio”, “Ardas” and “Sardaarji”.
