Punjab’s Prabhnoor Singh defeated Chandigarh’s Divyansh Dhupar 7-5, 6-3 to confirm his berth in the boys’ U-14 second round during the ongoing Roots AITA CS (7) National Ranking Championship.

Kriday Ghai logged a comfortable 6-0, 6-0 win over Haryana’s Satyam Dadwalm, while Harsh Marwaha defeated Sarthak Jaglan 6-1, 6-3. Gurshaan Singh also advanced into the next round by defeating Punjab’s Aarav Saini 6-1, 6-1, while Mohit Singh easily outplayed Ayaan Mittal 7-5, 6-1. Mayank Gupta defeated Rajveer Soni 6-1, 6-2 and Assam’s Arnav B defeated Charchit Boora 6-4, 7-5. Vrishin Awasthi recorded a comeback win over Arnav Khandelwal as he moved up from 4-6 down to log a 6-2, 10-6 win.

In the boys’ U-16 category, Tejas Singh outplayed Anik Chaudhary 6-2, 6-1 and Abhinav Bisht overpowered Ashish Kumar 6-2, 6-1. Punjab’s Ribhav Saroha easily defeated Mayank Bishnoi 6-1, 6-1 and Chandigarh’s Aarav Bishnoi defeated Pragun Thakur 7-5, 6-4. Punjab’s Prabhroop Singh managed to defeat Harman Singh 6-2, 4-6 12-10, while Mahijith Singh also struggled a bit before defeating Sankalp Sachdeva 7-5, 7-5.
