Chandigarh, July 3

A purse and a laptop were stolen from a car in Sector 25. The complainant, a resident of Sector 15, reported that her Maruti car was parked near a gaushala in Sector 25 when someone stole a laptop and a purse containing Rs2,000, a debit card, an Aadhaar card and a vehicle registration certificate on July 1.

A case of theft has been registered at the Sector 11 police station and an investigation initiated into it.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
