Chandigarh: The final list of candidates contesting the Panjab University Teachers Association (PUTA) elections was released on Monday. Mohammed Khalid (Evening Studies) and Mritunjay Kumar (AC Joshi Library) will contest for the president’s posts.

Amit Chauhan (UIET) and Supinder Kaur (Laws) will contest for the vice-president’s post, while Amarjit Singh Naura (Biochemistry) and MC Sidhu (Botany) will contest for the post of secretary. Anupam Bahri (UILS) and Sarvnarinder Kaur (Biophysics) will vie for the post of joint secretary, whereas Nitin Arora (Economics) and Samarjit Sihotra (Physics) will contest for the treasurer’s post.

The elections are scheduled to be held either on September 25 or on September 26. TNS
