Quarantine block at Chandigarh's Hotel Parkview

Keeping in view the Covid-19 outbreak, a separate block in Hotel Parkview has been demarked for quarantine facilities. The block has separate entry and exits and will not affect the functioning of the main block of the hotel in any way.

According to the DGM, Hotel Parkview, the main building of the hotel was functional and offering services to regular guests and visitors.

“We are strictly monitoring the Covid-19 situation. Our staff will follow the highest level of hygiene standards to ensure safety and well-being of our guests and visitors,” added the DGM.

The Chandigarh Administration has created the quarantine facility at the hotel on a payment basis.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.

The Tribune, the largest selling English daily in North India, publishes news and views without any bias or prejudice of any kind. Restraint and moderation, rather than agitational language and partisanship, are the hallmarks of the newspaper. It is an independent newspaper in the real sense of the term.

The Tribune has two sister publications, Punjabi Tribune (in Punjabi) and Dainik Tribune (in Hindi).
