The first monsoon showers heaped misery on commuters as long traffic jams were witnessed on various roads in and around Mohali.
One of the longest traffic jams was witnessed on the national highway from Desu Majra village to New Sunny Enclave gate and ahead today morning.
Commuters on the road underneath the Kharar flyover were worst-hit due to narrow road. They remained stuck for more than an hour. “We are stuck here for the past one hour. We were going for the repair work of an electricity transformer near Sunny Enclave,” said Tarsem Lal, a lineman. — TNS
