Rain and gusty winds lashed the city for another day today.

Till 11.30 pm, the city recorded 11.2 mm of rainfall and the wind was blowing at a speed of 30 to 40 km per hour. Met officials said the rain and wind intensity would increase during the night. There was a forecast of rain on Tuesday and Wednesday also.

The maximum temperature today was 38°C, one degree below normal. The minimum temperature was 27.7°C, three degrees above normal. The Met officials said the maximum and minimum temperature would not see a major change in the coming days.

Trees were seen lying on roads today and complaint were lodged from Sectors 38, 41 and others. Officials said it would take some time to clear all trees as around 75 had fallen when the storm had hit the city on Saturday night. — TNS
