Rakesh Kumar Arya today assumed charge as Police Commissioner of Panchkula district. He also holds the charge of IGP Administration and Law and Order.

The Commissioner was welcomed by DCP Himadri Kaushik, DCP (Crime and Traffic) Virendra Sangwan and other officials.

Arya, a 2003 batch IPS officer, gave important guidelines to officers after assuming office. He said it would be his priority to curb all types of crimes in the district.

He inspected all branches at his office in Mansa Devi Complex and directed the officers to ensure timely completion of work. Arya has served as Police Commissioner, Faridabad; IG, Rohtak and Hisar; DIG CID, SP CID and DCP and SP in Gurugram district, DCP, Karnal, Kurukshetra, Palwal, Bhiwani, Jind, Rohtak.
