After a delayed start owing to poor light for the second consecutive day, the Gujarat lads posted 86/2 against hosts Chandigarh, as only 26 overs were bowled during the Ranji Trophy match at the Sector 16 Cricket Stadium.

Poor light forced a delayed start today. After winning toss, Chandigarh skipper Manan Vohra opted to field. Gujarat openers PK Panchal and Urvil Patel couldn’t gave a solid start to the team, as the duo only raised 10 runs for the opening wicket.

Panchal was caught by Gaurav Puri off Jagjit Singh Sandhu for 5. Sunpreet Bagga then joined Patel (14), but the latter became Sandhu’s second victim in the 7th over of the match. Bagga and MA Hingrajia, thereafter, took the charge and ensured no further loss, till the drawn of the stumps.
