Mohali: The Mataur police are yet to arrest suspects who allegedly raped a 15-year-old girl in a car after abducting her here on Thursday. As per the police, the victim went to the Phase 3A market from Chandigarh for some work. The suspects allegedly came in a car and forcibly took her along with them. They dropped her in the Phase 3A market after around 15 minutes. The victim’s mother, in her complaint, said her daughter was unable to identify the suspects and the vehicle. The police were investigating the matter. They scrutinised footage of CCTV cameras installed near the crime spot, but failed to find any clue. The suspects were yet to be identified, said the police. A case was registered against unidentified suspects. According to information, medical examination of the victim was conducted at the Civil Hospital in Phase 6 here on Friday. The reports did not establish that she was sexually assaulted. TNS
