Fourth seed Raphael Collignon of Belgium and Israel’s Mika Fruchtman Dagan won the ITF World Tennis Tour Juniors (Grade-III) Tournament for boys and girls, respectively, at the Chandigarh Lawn Tennis Association (CLTA) courts in Sector 10 today.

In a one-sided boys U-18 final, Collignon defeated Martin Katz 7-5 6-2 to win the title.

The sixth-seeded Mika, meanwhile, faced a tough challenge from Sabrina Kalandarov in the girls U-18 final. She won the first set 6-4 but Sabrina bounced back in the second by registering taking it 6-3. In the final set, both players were on serve at 4-4, but at this stage Sabrina’s game was deeply affected by pain in her right leg. She tried to fight hard, but got broken and lost the deciding set 5-7 and with it, the match.
