Officials said the fraudulent notice was posted on the Facebook page, “Job Alerts by Hardeep”, falsely claiming that the board was conducting “direct recruitment” without examination for positions with a monthly salary of Rs 47,600, and the last date for applications was stated as June 24.

In a press release, Amarpal Singh, the board chairman, clarified that the notice was entirely fake and circulated by malicious elements or groups with the intent to deceive people. All official recruitments by the board were announced through its official website or recognised newspapers and media channels. If anyone had been duped due to the notice, he/she should immediately report to the cybercrime wing of the Punjab Police.

The board chairman appealed to the public to remain vigilant against such fake notices.
