Reet of Vidya Valley School, Sector 123, Mohali, and Gurmohan Singh of Guru Gobind Singh Vidya Mandir, Ratwara Sahib, claimed the best athlete title of girls’ and boys’ U-14 age group, respectively, on the concluding day of the CBSE Cluster XVII Athletics Championship, organised by PMLSD Public School, Sector 32, at the Sector 7 Sports Complex.

Aditi Lohia of Mount Carmel School, Sector 47, claimed the overall title in the girls’ U-17 event, while Jaganjot Singh of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Public School, Patiala, bagged the boys’ title. Supreet Kaur of St Soldier International Convent School, Phase 7, and Manmeet Singh of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Public School bagged the top honour in the girls’ and boys’ U-19 event, respectively.

Dashpreet Kaur of Lawrence Public School, Mohali, bagged gold medal in the girls’ U-19 event. Drapanpreet Kaur and Gurpinder Kaur claimed second and third position, respectively. In the girls’ U-17 long jump event, Samisha Taneja, Garima Singh and Summerjeet Kaur bagged the top three positions, respectively, while in the boys’ U-19 long jump event, Baljinder Singh won the gold medal, followed by Shubham Gill at second position and Sahilveer Singh at third.

Sahibjeet Singh won the boys’ U-19 shot put event, while Abhay Vanshistha bagged second position. Navjot Singh claimed the third position. In the 500m event of the boys’ U-19 category, Dalwinder Singh, Adiyan Sudan and Daman Kumar Sharma claimed the top three positions, respectively.

Delhi Public School-40 girls’ overall champs

The girls’ U-14 team of Delhi Public School (DPS), Sector 40, claimed the overall championship of the event, while the boys’ U-14 team of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Public School bagged the top honour. In the girls’ U-17 category, Mata Jaswant Kaur Memorial School, Muktsar, bagged first position. The boys’ U-17 category event was won by Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Public School. Lawrence Public School, Mohali, won the girls’ U-19 overall title and Colonel Public School, Sangrur, bagged the same title in the boys’ category.
