Protesting residents raised slogans against the local MLA Kulwant Singh for nit resolving the situation. They claimed that the local MLA has given a verbal permission to dump the garbage generated from Balongi area here. “This resource management centre is for 400 houses but garbage of more than 4,000 houses is being dumped here for past many days. It is for this reason garbage has spilled on to roads,” they complained.

The area councillor too reached the spot and blamed the MC officials for deteriorating sanitary conditions.

Meanwhile, residents of Phase-11 also staged a protest outside RMC point claiming rising heaps of garbage. A week ago, Shahimajra residents locked the RMC point in the area after residents decried poor living conditions due to garbage mess.
