A joint meeting of Punjab State Traders Commission member Vineet Verma with presidents of various markets of Mohali, Chamber of Commerce, associations, and representatives of immigration firms was held here today. The main purpose of today’s meeting was to resolve problems faced by traders during the upcoming festival season. There was also a demand to close liquor shops opened in the residential areas of the city.

The owners of hotels and restaurants demanded that their opening hours in the city be fixed till 12 midnight and the hours of online food delivery should also be fixed till 12 am. They said, “The police should be deployed to stop activities of mischievous elements roaming in markets. Parking spaces should be earmarked in markets so that no problem is faced while parking vehicles.” — TNS
