Chandigarh, January 19

The Registering and Licensing Authority (RLA) will hold an e-auction of the fancy numbers of the new series, CH01-CD, along with the re-auction of leftover numbers of the previous series from January 30 to February 1.

The registration for the e-auction of the numbers of the CH01-CD series along with the re-auction of the leftover fancy/special registration numbers of previous series CH01CC, CH01CB, CH01CA, CH01BZ, CH01-BY, CH01-BX, CH01-BW, CH01-BV, CH01-BU, CH01-BT and CH01-BS will start from January 22 and continue till January 29.

The owners of vehicles purchased on the Chandigarh address will be allowed to participate in the e-auction.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.

The Tribune, the largest selling English daily in North India, publishes news and views without any bias or prejudice of any kind. Restraint and moderation, rather than agitational language and partisanship, are the hallmarks of the newspaper. It is an independent newspaper in the real sense of the term.

The Tribune has two sister publications, Punjabi Tribune (in Punjabi) and Dainik Tribune (in Hindi).
