The UT police have questioned around 12 employees of the furniture shop whose owners were robbed at gunpoint on April 4.

Four motorcycle-borne miscreants had allegedly targeted Rajesh Bansal and his brother Rajinder, who own a shop, Sarvnoor Furniture and Cabinets. The brothers were leaving after closing the shop when they were robbed of Rs3 lakh and gold jewellery.

A police official said they had prepared a list of around 30 persons, including the employees of the furniture shop.

“Around 12 employees have been questioned so far. Others, including security guards who were on duty at the furniture market, will be questioned in the next few days,” the official added.

The police suspect that someone who knew that owners park their vehicles on the rear side of the shop was involved in the incident. The moment the victims left their shop with cash, the robbers reached there and looted them.

Meanwhile, the police are also scrutinising the call detail records (CDRs) of the suspects to get some clue.
