Mohali, October 24

Civic amenities in Mohali are set to undergo a radical transformation with a booster dose of Rs25 crore given to the district under the Punjab Urban Environment Improvement Programme (PUEIP), Phase II. This was stated by Cabinet Minister Balbir Singh Sidhu after attending the digital launch of the programme by Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amrinder Singh.

Health and Family Welfare Minister Balbir Singh Sidhu said for the comprehensive development of the state, rural and urban development should go hand in hand. The Smart Village Campaign-II was launched in the district around a week ago, which brought over Rs100 crore for rural development. Now, catering to the needs of urban population, development works under the PUEIP, Phase II, would also be taken up simultaneously.
