RSS office in Chandigarh cordoned off after 'bomb hoax'

The police tightened security at the RSS office in Sector 18 today and barricaded all roads leading to the premises. The area around the office was also searched, and those entering the building were frisked.

According to sources, a bomb threat targeting the RSS office was received in the morning. Senior police officers, including SSP Kanwardeep Kaur, reached the spot and held a meeting with RSS leaders.

The police refrained from giving any official statement. However, RSS office-bearers said the police periodically enhance security as a precautionary measure and this could be part of that routine.
