He added the Haryana Government is consistently striving to build a value-based society by nurturing moral and cultural values among the younger generation while showing respect to every section of society. The Deputy Commissioner also directed officials to ensure the smooth organisation of various upcoming programmes in November.
He said alongside the Run for Unity the Centre would organise district-level ‘Padyatras’ across the country from October 31 to November 25 to commemorate Sardar Patel’s 150th birth anniversary. Necessary arrangements are being made to ensure the grand and successful conduct of these events.
Earlier, Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini reviewed the preparations for the awareness programmes via video conferencing from Chandigarh and directed all Deputy Commissioners to conduct them with respect and dignity.
The Deputy Commissioner stated to mark the 350th Martyrdom Anniversary of Shri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji, processions would be organised across Haryana to spread the Guru’s eternal message of peace, sacrifice and communal harmony. Four such processions will start from different districts and culminate in Kurukshetra on November 24, with one beginning from Pinjore on November 11.
He said the nation would celebrate 150 years of the national song ‘Vande Mataram’ through a year-long series of awareness programmes beginning on November 7. These would be organised in four phases up to November 7, 2026 — the first from November 7 to 14, the second from January 19 to 26, 2026, the third from August 7 to 15, 2026 and the final phase from November 1 to 7, 2026.
