Saanvi of Class II scales Everest base camp
Chandigarh, June 14
Saanvi Sood, a Class II student of Yadavindra Public School, Mohali, set a new national record by summiting the Everest base camp.
“I had decided to scale the Everest base camp and I am happy to achieve it. It is all because of the focus, courage, grit and determination that I was able to achieve the feat with only six days of preparation,” said Saanvi.
“It is a proud moment for all of us here at the YPS. She has carried our school motto Vidya, Vinay, Veerta to a new high. She is our nation’s pride and we congratulate her and the entire team for this incredible achievement,” said Maj Gen TPS Waraich, Director, YPS.
