SAD seeks probe into teachers' harassment allegations

Shiromani Akali Dal's local unit urged the UT Administration to conduct an immediate and fair investigation into misbehavior and harassment allegations of two teachers and take strict disciplinary action against those found guilty.

The unit president, Charanjit Singh Villy, the government school teachers levelled allegdations of harassment and caste-based misconduct at the hands of senior school staff.

He further said the party strongly condemns such behaviour and demands that the Secretary Education conduct an immediate and fair investigation.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
