Shiromani Akali Dal (Chandigarh unit) president Charanjit Singh Villy has urged the Chandigarh Administration to declare Guru Tegh Bahadur’s Shaheedi Diwas on November 24 as a public holiday in Chandigarh.

In a statement issued today, Villy said that a formal letter regarding this demand had already been submitted to The Administrator, Chandigarh.
