Sahil Sharma stormed into the boys U-19 singles main draw by defeating Akarshit Sharma 15-8 15-12 in the ongoing Yonex Sunrise All India Junior Ranking Badminton Tournament at the Sector 38 Sports Complex today.

Haryana’s Pankaj also moved ahead by registering a 16-14 15-11 win over Rahul Upadhaya, while Randeep Singh recorded a comeback 10-15 15-5 16-14 win over Yuvraj Singh. Meanwhile, in the third-round matches, Tushar Kumar Setu outplayed Tanay Patankar 15-5 10-15 15-13 and local contender Samarveer defeated Vidit Pundir 15-12 15-9. Pankaj easily defeated Shasvat Vijay V 15-13 15-7, whereas Randeep defeated Rami Reddy 15-5 15-9.

In other matches, Arunsreevatsan M defeated Siddharth Panwar 16-14 15-11, Aaryesh Chauhan ousted Aditya Gaur 13-15 15-7 15-12 and Manoj DN outplayed Lokesh Reddy K 15-11 15-10.
