The body of a man who had been missing for the past few days was found at Sukhna Lake this morning.

Morning walkers noticed the body in the lake and informed the police. A team rushed to the scene and pulled the body out. It was later shifted to the Government Multi-Speciality Hospital, Sector 16.

The police said the victim had been identified as Mohan Singh, a resident of Saketri. “The body seems to be two days old,” said a police official. The victim used to frequent the lake. The police said prima facie, nothing suspicious had been found as there were no injury marks on the body. However, the cause of death would be established only after the postmortem examination, he said.
