Chandigarh, June 15

Members of the Chandigarh Traders’ Association, Sector 17, here, distributed face shields and masks among safai karamcharis and horticultural workers working in the area for their safety from Covid-19.

Kamaljit Singh Panchhi, president of the association, said: “Face cover plays an important role in prevention against the Covid-19. Use face shield and mask not only for your own safety, but also for others too”.

Panchhi appealed to city residents to stay at home for their safety.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
