Local MLA Lakhbir Singh Rai today honored Safai Sewaks for performing their duties well during the Shaheedi Sabha at the municipal council office.

The MLA said the manner in which the cleaning workers of the city council have performed all their duty day and night during the Shaheedi Sabha was commendable.

"Even the Sangat who came from far away did not have any problem due to the cleanliness of the whole Shaheedi Sabha area. He inspired all the workers to perform their duties faithfully and to keep the city clean," he added.

Municipal council executive officer Sangeet Kumar, meanwhile, apprised that only 400 Safai Sewaks from councils of Fatehgarh Sahib, Mandi Gobindgarh, Amloh and adjoining towns were pressed into service to keep the Shaheedi Sabha area clean and they worked round the clock.
