Panchkula, May 17

In view of a surge in Covid-19 cases in the district, Mayor Kulbhushan Goyal directed the officials concerned of the Panchkula Municipal Corporation to visit crematoriums in Sector 20 and 28 and ensure sanitisation on a priority basis.

The Mayor stated this while holding a meeting with MC officials on various developmental works in the city.

He directed the officials for regular garbage collection from houses of Covid-infected persons and isolation centres.

Goyal said all officials and employees must come to the office wearing proper face masks and ensure that they sanitise or wash their hands repeatedly. He also directed the officials to pay special attention towards cleanliness in the city.

Goyal said all works passed in the last MC meeting should be completed immediately. He gave instructions to purchase a pick-up van and a dumper placer and repair old dustbins and mobile toilets.

Joint Commissioner Sanyam Garg and other officials assured that they were taking all development works seriously.
