The much-awaited Sansad Khel Mahotsav 2025 commenced with a grand inauguration at Tau Devi Lal Stadium under the leadership of Rajya Sabha MP Rekha Sharma. The event opened with 5 km and 10 km marathons for men and women, flagged off amid loud cheers and enthusiasm from thousands of youth and citizens.

The inaugural ceremony was attended by Director General of Sports Sanjeev Verma, Deputy Commissioner Satpal Sharma, Commissioner of Police Sibash Kabiraj, BJP District President Ajay Mittal, Banto Katarai, and Sanjay Ahuja, who joined in encouraging the participants. Popular Haryanvi singer Masoom Sharma attended as the Guest of Honour, adding energy and patriotic fervour through his motivational interaction with the crowd.

The Sansad Khel Mahotsav, one of Haryana’s largest public participation sports events, is being organised across Ambala, Panchkula, and Yamunanagar districts, with an impressive 1,02,032 participants registered. Competitions are being held in five major sports disciplines — Cricket, Kho-Kho, Kabaddi, Badminton, and Athletics
