A specially curated ‘Timeline Wall’ that showcased the milestones and memories, highlighting key achievements and moments that shaped the school’s history was inaugurated by members of the management Sukhdeep Grewal and Paramdeep Grewal in the presence of founding lady Harjinder Kaur. The contributions of the educators, who have served for 10 to 25 years were also recognised as they were conferred trophies and certificates for their unwavering commitment to the school throughout the years. The school also hosted a langar to honour the founders’ legacy and selfless vision which was an integral part of the celebration.
Shemrock Sr Sec School, Mohali
The school successfully concluded a two-week-long ‘Swachhata Pakhwara’ event. Key activities held during the event included a poster-making competition, essay and elocution competitions, an environmental quiz competition, and a special session on rainwater harvesting. The final day featured a poster-making competition and a rally to raise awareness about the importance of cleanliness among students and residents of Sector 69, Mohali.
St Vivekanand School, Pinjore
The school was honoured with the prestigious ‘International Green School Award 2024’, recognising its commitment to environmental stewardship and sustainable education. The award was presented to Principal Piyush Punj, by Dilip Chauhan, Deputy Commissioner of the New York Mayor’s Office for International Affairs, along with Virendra Rawat, Managing Director and Krishna Tiwari, Operations Head, of Green Mentors. The ceremony was held at the ILR School, Cornell University, New York City Conference Center.
St Xavier’s Sr Sec School, Chd
The school organised a workshop in association with Oxford University Press on ‘New Education Policy—A challenge for teachers’. Around 100 teachers participated in the workshop. The keynote speaker, Ms Vinita Sareen, emphasised the changing teaching methods that would be adopted in schools in time. The workshop was highly informative and interactive for the audience.
