Sec 21 school, Stephen’s eves log football wins

Government Model Senior Secondary School (GMSSS), Sector 21, logged a 6-0 win over Velocity Club, in the ongoing KB Malik Memorial Trophy for Chandigarh Sub-Junior (U-13) Girls State Football (League) Championship, at the Sector 46 Sports Complex. Sakshi posted two goals, while Sabina, Pihu, Damini and Nancy posted a goal each.

In the next match, Government Model High School (RC-1), Dhanas, recorded a 4-0 win over Bhavan Vidyalaya, Chandigarh. Navpreet Kaur scored two quick goals in the first half, while Sonia added a brace in the second half.

In the third league match, St Stephen’s School, Sector 45, was awarded walkover against GMSSS, Sector 37.

In the U-15 league, St Stephen’s defeated GMSSS, Dhanas, 2-1. Mahi Manjot opened the account for the Sector 45 team, but Ruksana found the equaliser for Dhanas. The scores remained the same at the lemon break whistle. In the 47th minute, Mahi Manjot netted the winning goal for the Sector 45 team and bagged three points.

In the second match, GMSSS, Sector 22, defeated De-Himalayan FC 4-0. Mansi netted the opening goal, while Vanshika doubled the lead. Ratika extended the lead to 3-0 and Kajal scores the final goal in the 48th minute.

In the third match, Spail Villa FC registered a 2-1 win over GHMS-RC-1 Dhanas. Anpar Patel netted the first goal, but Nidhi levelled the score in no time. As the match was coming to close to end, Shivani scored through a fine shot to help Spail Villa bag full points.
