Sri Guru Gobind Singh Hockey Club, Sector 26, recorded a 5-0 win over Chandigarh Hockey Academy (Blue) in the women’s category during the ongoing Chandigarh State Junior Hockey Championships at the Sector 42 Sports Complex.

Muskan netted the opening goal in the sixth minute by converting a penalty corner, while Kamaldeep doubled the lead in the twelfth minute. The duo were again in thick of action, as Muskan (20th, 36th) added a brace, and Kamaldeep (37th) netted her second to make it 5-0.

Chandigarh Hockey Academy (Red) defeated Panjab University Club 4-0 as Tamanna (32nd, 51st) scored two goals and Anjali (19th) and Prinka (59th) posted one goad each.

In the men’s event, Chandigarh Hockey Academy defeated SGGS, Sector 35, 2-0. Sahil (4th, 6th) scored both goals for the winning side. Panjab University Hockey Club posted a 8-1 win over Government Model High School, Sector 42. Arman (14th, 17th), Suraj (19th, 24th) and Prince (32nd, 50th) scored a brace each, while Saurabh (2nd) and Shivam (13th) scored a goal each. Sarthak (13th) pulled the lone goal for the losing side.
