Government Model Senior Secondary School, Sector 37, represented by players of the Chandigarh Football Academy (CFA), played out a 1-1 draw with Mothers Pride Public School, Himachal Pradesh, in the 64th Subroto Cup International Football Tournament in Bengaluru.

The Chandigarh team gained lead in the ninth minute as Krishna netted the ball over the goal line. The side maintained the lead until 50th minute—the late minutes of the match—when Gurkaran found the equaliser.

In another match, Minerva Public School (CISCE) held Shri Leelanand Secondary School, Jharkhand, to a 2-2 draw. Sandeep posted the opening goal in the 22nd minute, but Mamesh levelled the score in the 30th minute for Minerva. Just three minutes later, Minerva claimed the lead through Bickson in the 33rd minute. However, Asish levelled the scores for Jharkhand in the 35th minute.

Indira Modern High School, Haryana, produced a dominant performance against Tashi Namgyal Academy, IPSC, sealing a comprehensive 8-0 victory. Sukhvinder starred with four goals (2nd, 17th, 20th and 43rd), while Rohit (11th), Aran (22nd, 24th) and Aditya (52nd) contributed to the team’s tally in a one-sided encounter.

Manikpara Vivekananda Vidyapith, West Bengal, overpowered SFS Higher Secondary School, Nagaland, with a dominant 8-1 win. Koushik (2nd, 25th), Murmu (27th, 29th), Soumen (9th), Fagun (11th), Abhijit (42nd), and Nehal (51st) were bang on target for West Bengal, while Ngnamillen (46th) scored the lone goal for Nagaland. Anand Niketan School, Gujarat, logged a 2-0 win over Jayshree Periwal International School (ISSO). Megh opened the scoring in the 23rd minute, before Shubham sealed the result with a stoppage-time strike in the 51st minute.
