Senior citizen duped by man posing as doctor at Mohali hospital

A senior citizen was duped of Rs 3,500 by a miscreant impersonating a doctor at the Phase-6 Civil Hospital today.

The victim, identified as Jasvir Singh, in his written complaint to the senior medical officer at the hospital and the police, said he had come to the hospital for a check-up when a middle-aged man approached him for some loose money while posing as a doctor. The miscreant, however, fled from the spot after taking the victim’s money.

The incident has been captured in the CCTV cameras installed at the hospital.

Notably, this is the second such incident in the last two months when visitors have been duped by miscreants inside the hospital complex. The police are investigating the matter.
