Chandigarh, December 25

A seven-day NSS camp on the theme of the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan and Jal Shakti Abhiyan, began at Mehr Chand Mahajan DAV College for Women today.

Principal Dr Nisha Bhargava inaugurated the camp. She motivated the students and staff to continue with their diligent efforts that earned the college 1st position in India in Swachh Campus Ranking of Higher Educational Institutions 2018.

She highlighted the importance of water conservation and effective waste management for a sustainable future. A presentation by the volunteers provided glimpses of all the activities and events undertaken by the college’s NSS units during 2019. Swachhta pledge was also administered to the volunteers.

Santosh, a trainer from Pidilite Industries Limited conducted a workshop on ‘Best out of Waste’.
